♫ ❄ Evolution @ The Wedgewood Rooms ❄ ♫
I can guarantee you that we will feature the biggest and best bands that Portsmouth has to offer and the bands have assured me that they will all be bringing more volume than a pensioners telly ! So make sure you stay tuned to this event and the concert tour page. ♫*Belligerence *♫ http://www.facebook.com/BelligerenceRock www.myspace.com/belligerencerock As you'll see on our myspace page we're not really massive fans of writing about what we have done and what we want to do, who we've played with etc 'Look at my amazing bands success' kind of stuff (you know what we mean). So here is a wordy little blurb or something written by someone else! "Belligerence is a groove-laden, heavy metal freight train gone off the rails. A vision of southern rock disorder you’d be mistaken for thinking emanated from the down-south swamps of the bayou, instead of the southern city of Portsmouth, UK. On the eve of unleashing their latest EP, another potent slab of whisky drenched, Cajun-baked brutality, the quartet are to be applauded by the true heavy metal fan, for digging their heels in and standing their ground against the rising tide of bands out to kiss ass and sell their sound every time the scene changes. Not concerning themselves with populist insincerity, the band’s edict is right there in the name; a hostile or war-like attitude as true in the recording studio as it is in their take-no-prisoners live show. No labels, no compromises. Belligerence are out to prove nothing to nobody but themselves. An aggressive hunger, fueled on blood, sweat and road warrior riffery, is that which takes them to strength beyond strength as they pillage their way across the UK and beyond. If anarchy arrives in your town, be warned that the road already traveled is littered with a trail of venues leveled and the broken bones of bands brave enough to take to the same stage. No need to preach to the newly converted and growing fan base, ready to help take the underground over ground; Belligerence will not be content until they’ve cut down all the cookie-cutters and the oath of allegiance is sworn by every last naysayer and detractor. Those who want to label and talk sh*t because they don’t sound like this or waste of a record deal will be the same people buying them beers after their set. " ♫* Obsessive Compulsive *♫ http://www.facebook.com/ObsessiveCompulsiveBand OC's debut album DREAMS OF DEATH AND THE DEATH OF DREAMS is out now!!! available on CD and download from Amazon/HMV/Play/iTunes and more...BiographyManchester based DIY rock band Obsessive Compulsive are creating a big noise on the UK underground music scene. With their dark, grungey rock anthems energetic live shows and punk attitude they are building a steady army of hardcore fans. In May 2010 OC unleashed their debut album on their own label, Vociferous records. " Dreams of Death and the Death of Dreams" is an intense blend of gentle whispers and heavy, crushing rage, dystopian, bleak and venomous but simmering with vulnerability. Produced by highly respected man of metal Russ Russell, the album brought many new converts to the party. In 2011 the band played Download Festival, Bloodstock and Hard Rock Hell, opened for The Damned Things in London, toured as main support to Wolfsbane and their video for the killer track Man Vs Machine aired regularly on Scuzz and Kerrang TV. So far 2012 is looking promising, with the band being nominated for several 'Pure Rawk Awards' and being chosen as the opening band for Anthrax on their only two UK headline shows in March. The army is growing, the buzz is getting louder, watch this space. ♫* Velvetine *♫http://www.facebook.com/velvetinerocksQUOTES ABOUT VELVETINE: Party hard Riff fuelled Rock for lovers of Airbourne and AC/DC - Spikey Mark It could easily be a cross between the beer soaked gritty riffage of Rose Tattoo, and Kiss’s ruthless take on Rock ‘N’ Roll. - MUEN Magazine With dirty riffs and the image to match Velvetine play Wolfmother V Led Zep and are sure to get the feet tapping, fists punching and body rocking! - The Wolf Cub Club Nice one!!
